We built ConvertKit on a simple promise: your files never leave your device. Here's everything you need to know about how we handle your data.
ConvertKit does not collect, store, transmit, or process any files, images, or documents on our servers. All conversions happen entirely inside your own browser using local JavaScript APIs. Your files are never uploaded anywhere.
When you upload a file, it is read directly into your browser's memory using the File API. Processing is done using client-side libraries (PDF.js, jsPDF, JSZip). The output is generated locally and downloaded directly to your device. No network request is made for your files at any point.
ConvertKit does not use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or any other persistent storage mechanism to save your files or personal information. Your settings (like page size or quality) are held only in memory for the duration of your session and are lost when you close the tab.
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling tools. We do not track what files you convert, how many pages your PDF has, or any details about the content of your documents.
ConvertKit loads the following open-source libraries from public CDNs at startup: PDF.js (Mozilla), jsPDF, and JSZip. These are standard JavaScript libraries. Loading them involves a standard HTTPS request to the CDN server — no file data is sent. You can verify this in your browser's Network tab.
ConvertKit is a general-purpose utility tool. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, there is nothing to delete or request.
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we collect no personal data, any changes will only ever reflect improvements to transparency or technical architecture changes — never new data collection practices.
